Rodahl Leong-Lyons is an exceptional executive leader for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. When asked what she believes is her greatest contribution to the community, she responded, “Because it takes so many hands to get things done, facilitation is my key responsibility.” As Vice President of Sales for the Americas, she manages a 71-person team that is responsible for 931 accounts in the Americas. When assessing the efficacy of any strategy or personnel decision, Leong-Lyons invites candid conversations with employees by asking the question “What should we start doing, stop doing, and keep doing?” Despite the host of responsibilities she holds, Leong-Lyons has attended every “boot camp” training session for new hires since she began serving as Vice President of Sales. She believes that investing heavily in new employees early in their development is critical to their success.
