Christine Hernandez, VP and General Counsel, Intellectual Property VF Corporation

Christine Hernandez is Vice President and General Counsel, Intellectual Property (Global) for VF Corporation, overseeing VF’s intellectual property strategy worldwide for brands including The North Face, Vans, Timberland, and Dickies. In this role, she leads a team of over 20 specialist attorneys, paralegals, and assistants in managing and enforcing 15,000+ trademarks and patents, and advises business clients on a wide array of intellectual property issues including trademark selection, product design, and third party infringement. She regularly speaks on current topics in intellectual property law.

Ms. Hernandez has maintained an active pro bono practice throughout her career, including obtaining asylum for refugees and counseling artists and non-profit organizations on a variety of intellectual property matters. During the 2020 election, she spearheaded a non-partisan voter protection volunteer opportunity for all members of VF’s Law Department. She also currently represents an inmate in the Louisiana State Penitentiary through The Promise of Justice Initiative.
