Sorfleet is vice president and chief human resources officer of CSX Corp, a transportation company with 30,000 employees headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla. She oversees the company’s diversity and inclusion, learning and training, talent management and acquisition, and strategic workforce planning, as well as and human resources support to the business. Sorfleet joined CSX in June 2011 after a 20-year stint with Exelon Corp. in the human resources department, most recently as vice president of diversity and development. She was responsible for developing a company-wide human resources strategy for the 20,000-employee organization, serving as the lead for talent acquisition and development, diversity & inclusion, organizational development and employee relations practices. She’s a board member of the Girls Scouts Gateway Council, a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, and a former board member of Easter Seals DuPage Fox Valley Region and Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
